or charge of such vessel.

"owner" when used in relation to goods includes any consignor,

consignee, shipper, agent, or lien holder for the sale or custody of

such goods; and when used in relation to any vessel includes any owner,

part owner, charterer, consignee, or mortgagee in possession thereof.

"pier" includes any stage, stairs, landing place, jetty, floating barge,

or pontoon, and any bridge or other works connected therewith.

"Pilot" means a person for the time being licensed by the Port Trust to

pilot vessels to, from or within, the Port.

"Port" means the Port of Hong Kong, as declared in section 3, "Port Trust"

means the Hong Kong Port Trust as established by Section 4.

"Vessel" includes any ship, barge, boat, raft, or craft, or any other

thing whatever, designed or used for the transport upon water of

passenger or goods.

"Victoria Harbour" means the harbour of Victoria, and includes the waters

of the Colony within the following boundaries On the East A straight

line drawn from the westernmost extremity of Siu Chau Wan Point to the

westernmost extremity of A Kung Ngam Point (sometimes known as Kung Am).

On the West A straight line drawn from the westernmost point of the

Island of Hong Kong to the westernmost point of Green Island, thence a

straight line drawn from the westernmost point of Green Island to the

westernmost point of Stonecutters Island, and thence a straight line

drawn true North from the westernmost extremity of Stonecutters Island

to the mainland.

"wharf" includes any bank which may be improved to facilitate the loading

or unloading of goods, and any foreshore used for the same, and any wall

enclosing or adjoining such bank or foreshore.
